As an innovative and internationally oriented manufacturer of premium implants for ophthalmic surgery, we develop, manufacture, and market medical devices with the goal of restoring the best possible vision to the human eye.
To strengthen our team at our Erlangen location, we are looking for a full-time Junior Project Associate (m/f/d) – Technology & Digitalization to join us at the earliest possible date.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of technical and digital projects
- Contribute to the introduction, optimization, and further development of digital processes
- Assist in the implementation of AI-driven solutions and automation projects
- Support the development and rollout of software applications and digital tools
- Work closely with internal departments, external service providers, and technology partners
- Participate in IT, digitalization, and innovation projects within both production and administrative environments
- Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Research, test, and evaluate new technologies with a focus on artificial intelligence, automation, and digitalization
Your Profile
- Completed degree or degree nearing completion in Computer Science, Software Development, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a comparable field
- Initial practical experience gained through internships, university projects, working student positions, or entry-level professional roles
- Strong affinity for IT and enthusiasm for digitalization, automation, and emerging technologies
- Initial experience or knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, or Data Analytics
- Experience in the effective and responsible use of generative AI applications (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot), including the ability to achieve high-quality results for texts, analyses, and business processes through effective prompting techniques
- Basic knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, C#, or SQL, is advantageous
- Strong interest in developing and implementing digital solutions
- Analytical mindset, initiative, and a structured approach to work
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Very good written and spoken German and good written and spoken English
