Our group of companies looks back at over 50 years of experience in precision technology. Today we are a "global player" with German roots. We manufacture at our production facilities in Erlangen and St. Augustin intraocular implants at the very highest technological level. In this respect we are both socially and ecologically responsible. Security of the workplace and protection of the environment together with the quality of our intraocular lenses are the major centre of our attention.

We develop and manufacture innovative intraocular lenses of the highest medical quality, in order to assure that people with ocular diseases such as e.g. cataract and cornea irregularities will regain the best sight possible and to restore their quality of life in the longer term. We consider ourselves to be committed to this objective also in the future. We also know that the value of a company does not only depend on sales figures but above all also on its good reputation and its credibility.

Innovative products are necessary for continuous growth and the development of new markets. For this reason we are investing a substantial part of our profit in research and development. HumanOptics has also set itself the task to develop new types of innovative eye implants, which represent a substantial contribution to the quality of life of the patient.

In this respect all necessary technologies are taken into consideration, which make the research and development processes the most efficient and productive possible.

The worldwide research competence of HumanOptics is complemented through a network of external partners (cooperation with other companies, universities and scientific organisations).

Growth is achieved to a large extent from its own funds, but cooperation and acquisitions are also the basis for our positive results. HumanOptics is extending its activities further with its three facilities in Erlangen, Mannheim and St. Augustin. Our independence makes us flexible and helps us to react quickly to the requirements of our customers.

In order to achieve the targeted sales and profit growth, we exploit the opportunities of globalisation and shall continuously expand our foreign business.

We are obliged to satisfy our customers and shareholders with the quality of our products and services. Through regular customer interviews we know the requirements of the market very well and can react promptly to new trends. We integrate the most modern technologies into our work processes for optimisation and quality control. We cooperate closely with scientific institutes, universities and opinion makers at an international level.

We consider as our core task the assuring of the quality of our implants. We achieve this through a functioning quality control management and the active support of all our employees. We monitor our management system regularly and have this confirmed with ISO certificates by external parties. HumanOptics is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13485:2003 and DIN EN ISO 9001:2000.
