In 1999 Karl Klamann founded HumanOptics AG, which today is known as the innovation leader in ophthalmic surgery and which has set as its major principle the development of "optics by humans for humans".

The HumanOptics Group develops and produces intraocular lenses (IOL) from the well-known materials: silicone, acrylic and PMMA. A broad range of PMMA lenses can be delivered permanently. A large dioptre range is also on stock for the special lenses, such as, e.g. the toric solutions. Innovative designs and quality "Made in Germany" make the implants into perfect solutions for cataract surgery.
