The company founded by Karl Klamann changed
its legal form in 1999 into a public limited company in
accordance with German law. HumanOptics AG is known today as an
innovation leader in eye surgery and has set as its major
principle the development of "optics made by humans for
humans". With its brand names of HumanOptics
and Dr. Schmidt Intraocularlinsen the group is
so to speak a synonym for innovation strength in
research and know-how in manufacturing.
